My Mini Cat (myminicat.com) is a free game for children, created by Afra and run by her family. We built it so that it needs almost no information about anyone. This page explains what happens to data, in plain words.

The short version

  • No accounts, no sign-up and no ads. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and collects no personal information.
  • We never ask for a name, email address, photo, phone number or location.
  • What children make is saved on their own device, not on our servers.
  • The AI picture buttons and the chat with Fuzz and Cola send only what is needed, and we do not keep it.

What stays on your device

Cats, drawings, paw badges, the chosen language and sound settings, a name typed on the printables page and progress in our games are saved in your browser's storage (localStorage) on this device. We cannot see them. You can delete them at any time with the delete buttons in the game (Clear on the printables page) or by clearing this website's data in your browser settings.

The AI picture buttons

"Make it magic" sends our server only the choices that were tapped in the cat maker (for example breed, colours, outfit and world). The cat's name and anything typed are never sent.

"Turn my drawing into a Mini Cat" sends the drawing as a small picture (512 × 512 pixels). Our server adds a fixed description and passes it to Cloudflare Workers AI, which paints the new picture and sends it back to your device. We do not store the drawing or the picture. Cloudflare says it does not use this content to train AI models.

To keep a fair daily limit, our server keeps a scrambled (hashed) version of the visitor's internet (IP) address together with a counter. It cannot be turned back into the address and is deleted automatically after 2 days.

Chatting with Fuzz and Cola

Fuzz and Cola can chat with your child. Their answers are made by AI, and they are pretend cartoon cats, not real people. No account is needed, and children never chat with other people.

Every message is checked on the device first. If it has personal details (like a name, age, address, phone number or email), a link, rude words, a scary or grown-up topic, or a worry, the cats give a fixed, kind answer right away and nothing is sent. Simple things like "hello", "tell me a joke" or "who drew you?" are answered on the device too.

Other messages (up to 200 letters) are sent to our server with the chosen cat, the language and the last few lines of the chat (checked again, with personal details hidden). Our server passes them to Cloudflare Workers AI, where Google's Gemma model writes a short answer (Meta's Llama model is the backup). Each answer is checked by our own rules and by Meta's Llama Guard safety filter. If an answer fails, the cat says a fixed, friendly line instead.

We do not save or log what is typed or what the cats answer. The chat lives only in the open page and is forgotten when you tap "New chat", change the language or leave the page. To keep the chat fair and free, our server counts messages per visitor with a scrambled (hashed) version of the internet address, deleted after 2 days. The only thing saved on your device is whether the cats' voices are on or off.

Some answers are played as recordings of Fuzz and Cola's voices; the others are read aloud by your device's own voice. The 🎤 button uses your browser's speech recognition: some browsers (for example Chrome and Safari) send the sound to their maker (Google or Apple) to turn it into words, and we only receive the words. AI can make mistakes, so please stay close while your child chats.

The online gallery

If a child chooses to share a cat in the online gallery, we store the cat's choices (colours, breed, outfit and so on) and its nickname, which must pass our kind-names filter. We also store scrambled codes for the device and internet address, only to stop spam and to count hearts fairly. Anyone can report a cat; a cat reported from 3 different devices is hidden automatically until a grown-up checks it, and we may remove anything at any time. "Play with a friend" rooms use a short code and preset actions and stickers only (no chat) and expire after a few hours.

Hosting

The website runs on Cloudflare. Like any website host, Cloudflare processes technical information such as IP addresses to deliver pages and keep the service safe. You can read Cloudflare's privacy policy at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and collects no personal information. It shows us totals, like how many times each page was opened, never who visited.

Children

My Mini Cat is made for children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. If you think a child has put personal information somewhere, for example in a cat's nickname, please write to us and we will delete it.

Your choices

You can use every part of the game without the AI buttons, the chat and the online gallery. You can ask us questions or ask us to delete anything shared in the gallery at any time.

Changes and contact

If we change this policy we will update this page and the date at the top. Questions? Email [email protected].
