🔔 Fuzz and the Jingly Bell

Fuzz loved hide-and-seek. He had the biggest sideways ears for listening, the fastest paws for running, and a tongue that was always sticking out, which helped with nothing at all.

But Fuzz had one small problem. His red collar had a little golden bell on it, and every time he moved, it went jingle.

"Ready or not, here I come!" called Cola. Fuzz hid behind the sofa. He stayed very, very still. Then his nose got itchy. He scratched it. Jingle! "Found you!" giggled Cola.

Next time, Fuzz hid inside the laundry basket, under a soft pile of towels. He did not move his paws. He did not move his tail. He did not even move his tongue. But then he yawned, and his head wobbled, and the bell went jingle. "Found you again!" said Cola.

Fuzz thought hard. Then he had a brilliant idea. He tucked the bell into the fluffy fur of his neck and held it there with his chin. He tiptoed to the kitchen and hid inside an empty cardboard box.

Cola looked everywhere. Under the bed. Behind the curtains. Inside the bath. It was so quiet. "Fuzz? Where are you?" she called. Fuzz was so pleased with himself that he laughed out loud. "Hee hee hee!"

"Found you!" said Cola. "Your bell was quiet, but your giggle was not!" Fuzz rolled over in the box and meowed happily. Losing was still fun when your best friend was laughing too.
