🏙️ Nimbus Visits the City

Nimbus was a country cat. She knew fields and barns and hedges full of birds. But she had never been to the city, until her cousin Pixel invited her for a visit.

When Nimbus stepped out of the carrier, her mouth fell open. There were buildings taller than a hundred trees! Cars beeped. Buses rumbled. People hurried past, their footsteps tapping on the pavement.

"It's so busy!" said Nimbus, holding on to Pixel's tail. "Don't worry," said Pixel. "I'll show you the best city secrets."

First, they went up to the rooftop garden. It was full of flowers and tomato plants, right on top of a building! The whole city spread out below like a giant toy town.

Next, they visited the bakery on the corner. The baker gave them a friendly wave, and the smell of fresh bread drifted out of the door. Then they sat on a windowsill and watched the busy street below, like watching a parade that never ended.

In the park, Nimbus found something familiar: trees, grass and a pond with ducks. "The city has nature too!" she said happily. A pigeon cooed hello and bobbed its head at her.

As evening came, the city lit up. Thousands of windows glowed yellow, like stars that had come down to live in the buildings. Nimbus gasped. "It's beautiful," she whispered.

That night, she curled up next to Pixel. "The country is quiet and green," she said sleepily. "And the city is busy and bright. I think I love them both." Pixel purred. "Then you'll just have to visit again."
