Tumble's Shape Hunt

"Today," said Miss Paws, the teacher cat, "we're going on a shape hunt!" The kittens cheered and wiggled their tails.
Tumble was the most excited of all. He grabbed his notebook in his mouth and bounded out into the garden.
"A circle!" he shouted, pointing at a round stepping stone. "And another!" he said, as the sun peeked out from a cloud. "The sun looks like a circle too!"
"A square!" said his friend Daisy, pointing at a window in the shed. It had four sides, all the same length. Tumble counted them: one, two, three, four.
Next they found a triangle in the roof of the birdhouse, where a little wren sat singing. Then a rectangle in the garden gate, and a star in a starfish shell that someone had brought back from the beach.
"What about an oval?" asked Miss Paws. The kittens looked everywhere. Then Tumble spotted something in a nest: a speckled egg. "An oval!" he whispered, so he wouldn't disturb it.
On the way back, Tumble noticed something funny. When he curled up for a rest, his whole body made a circle. When he stretched out long, he made a rectangle. And when he pointed his ears up, they were two little triangles!
"I'm a shape cat!" he laughed. Everyone giggled, and Miss Paws gave him a gold star sticker. "Look," said Tumble. "Another shape! Meow!"
